Paris: The City of Love A Photo Tour

Sometimes referred to as The City of Love, Paris is definitely moving up on my Favorite Cities list, but it wasn’t love at first sight. In fact, It wasn’t until my third visit, that I really came to realize what, many other people already feel: I love Paris! I know that with so many amazing places in the world it can be hard to commit precious vacation time to repeat destinations, but sometimes it’s those repeat visits that really show you what a city is all about.

In Paris there are…

#Paris

Lovely views around every corner.

The Pantheon…

Paris France

Is a place I’ve still never stepped foot inside. Its first on my list for next time!

How much love is too much…

Paris France

Over 1 million locks of love have been removed from Paris’s bridges! That’s 65 tons of love!

Speaking of Love…

Paris France

I just love it when we see a bride and Groom!

What’s that smell…

Paris France

I love cheese, but the boys weren’t too keen on the smell.

However…

#paris

They had no complaints about the cookies!

A perfect afternoon…

#paris

is made up of, Street performers, Berthillon glace and a little rest along the banks of the Seine on the Ile de Sainte Louis.

Once upon a time…

#ruemouffetard

The Rue Mouffetard was a main road in and out of town. One of our favorite places! You’ll find a mix or tourists and locals alike on this pedestrian friendly market street.

Graffiti or art…

#paris

Street Art! We were delighted to discover among other street art pieces this C-3PO Chewbacca piece by the elusive French street artist, Invader.

You’ll find yourself surrounded by beauty…

#paris

Sometimes in the most simple of forms. From the Metropolitan signs…

and bicycles…

to corner flower shops, and

The many corner cafes.

I love to travel & explore the world both near and far! I do my best to make the most out of life each and everyday! I have two boys and they are, at the ages of 15 and 21, world travelers and all around go along guys. There isn’t anywhere I can’t take them. It is my hope this blog will be a way to share the fun things I’ve learned while on our many adventures together!

Another blog post I really enjoyed.
I really like our style of writing, pointing things out and complimenting it with really nice pictures.
They put me right back in the “aaaw…Paris! 😍 mood”.

Well done. I am already looking forward for your next post.

It’s been a while since I went to Paris. I can’t remember seeing the “love locks” on the bridges at that time. Beautiful pictures! #TheWeeklyPostcard

  5. You know my first and only time I went to Paris I didn’t fall in love with it either. I am hoping to give it another go! I didn’t have macaroons either! Apparently that is a must! I am so sad about the locks, buttttt I got to see them before they took them down. I went to Paris in 2013. You have pretty pictures!!! #TheWeeklyPostcard

  6. Such lovely pictures of one of my favourite places. I must admit though that I’m not a love locks fan, they did so much damage and I was happy to see them go! (Bah humbug! I think there are many other less destructive ways to declare your love!) #TheWeeklyPostcard

    • I completely agree about the locks! We’ve never attached one. These weren’t attached to a bridge, but part of an “art” display… I read they’ll be sold with proceeds going to refuges so that’s a plus! 😘

      • If that’s true then that’s a great outcome, let’s hope it happened. Loved rereading this for #AllAboutFrance, just like I love revisiting Paris any number of times, thanks for linking up.

  7. What a beautiful collection of photos! These really show off Paris and the many reasons why many visitors love this city (including me). We’re going back this summer and this surely made me even more excited. I’m drooling at those macarons.

    • Thank you! We’ve been twice in the past three years, and just love it! It took me ages to go through all the photos from our most recent visit!

  8. Some beautiful and atmospheric photos. I particularly like your photographic work because it’s not just monuments but moments of life you’ve snatched and immortalised. #AllAboutFrance

I’m heading off to Paris in just under a week, and this post has made me all excited! Mmmm, that cheese….I’m intrigued by the locks of love. What’s the story behind those? #AllAboutFrance

    • Ooh! Have a wonderful time! Have you been to Sainte Chapelle? If not, don’t miss it! I’ve written all about the locks in my post much ado about Paris!

Lovely photo tour of Paris, I am glad you are now enjoying the city. It has so much to offer it really needs repeat visits, and who can say ‘no’ to that … not me! Give me Paris any day 🙂 #AllAboutFrance

  12. Paris was love at first sight for me but several people have told me, Paris had to grow on them before they loved it. Beautiful photo essay! #AllAboutFrance

  13. What a wonderful way to enjoy Paris, by photo tour! Thank you for sharing your beautiful pictures, makes me want to catch a train today… Do visit Pantheon when you have a chance – it’s well worth it! Happy Travels 🙂
